About Dr. Francis Mangeni

Francis is a Legal Consultant with the firm. He holds a Bachelors of Law degree from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Uganda Law Development Center. He holds a Masters of Law degree in International Economics Law and Multinational Enterprise Law from the London School of Economics (LSE), University of London. Francis wrote a Doctorate in the Law Department at LSE on the political and legal framework for economic integration as a development strategy in the context of the international economic order, awarded in 2000. The research included regular visits to the World Trade Organization (WTO) Secretariat in Geneva, and internships with the African Union and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

Francis is an Advocate of the Uganda Courts of Judicature. He is also a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.

In 1993-95, Francis taught at the Makerere University School of Law. He was also an Assistant Lecturer at the Uganda Law Development Center on the postgraduate Bar Course, conducting classes in commercial and land transactions, civil and criminal procedures, and family law. He was also a visiting lecturer to the Police Training School and the Uganda Management Institute in Uganda.
