About Emmanuel Meta Aloro

Emmanuel is a partner at Lex Uganda Advocates and Solicitors and an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all Courts of Judicature. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree of the University of Dar es Salaam, a postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Uganda Law Development Centre and a Master of Arts in Revenue Law and Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Emmanuel’s areas of interest include taxation in East Africa, risk, regulation and public company corporate governance, project and infrastructure financing, mining, handling employment and labour related matters including cross border labour movement and pension related matters, corporate restructuring, securities and capital markets and corporate fraud and investigations.

He heads the Employment and Pensions Law department of the Firm

He also advises Non Governmental Organisations on various regulatory, donor compliance matters and corporate governance. Emmanuel is one of the key person in company secretarial works at Lex Uganda. He sits on various Boards represented by the law firm.
